Friday, September 12, 2003 at 12:14 AM If you caught Drew on JKL, do you think it was worth the humiliation? They walked all over him. Other than fans simply watching just to see him, do you think he gained anything from it? ...I don't. If I did not know of him it is hard to imagine that segment producing any interest in Drew or the book. They mocked him like school boys. He was unable to get a single sentence out uninterrupted. Drew has earned more respect than Jimmy and Adam showed him. This was national exposure. They blew an opportunity for their friend. —Mike (not-the-first) |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 12:24 AM Mike I TOTALLY AGREE........You know I bet that Drew is thinking how glad he is to have friends like Adam and Jimmy. Trying to make someone look like a moron only makes you look worse. I also noticed that Adam's wardrobe appeared to be more expensive tonight after last night's on air temper tantrum. —DALAMAR23666 |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 12:43 AM As much as Drew was interupted, stepped on and otherwise treated like a quack if you were already familiar with him he came off okay. If you did not know who he was before that guest spot you probably don't know what to think. For a cheap laugh they basically ambushed him for the newbies. They don't know any boundaries -no class. —Art |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 8:47 AM Drew is smart enough and quick enough to not look like a moron. If anything, Adam and Jimmy looked worse and Drew came off as pretty chilled out and good humored. I always forget how odd looking Drew is, however. —Joe |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 9:26 AM I'm with Lou... It didn't seem that they were too hard on him, and eventhough I am bias I thought it was obvious they were friends just joking around on the air. Joe: I thought Drew looked kind of wierd too, but I think its his glasses... something about his glasses makes his face look funny. —Kevin U. |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 1:21 PM This is a problem I've long had with JKL. Jimmy often shows absolutely no respect for people on his show. I remember one time he had on a guy trying to break the world record for situps. Jimmy spent the whole show mocking him, what a silly thing to do, how stupid the guy looked doing situps, etc. So fine, maybe the guy's a loser, but then WHY invite him on the show? Jimmy complains that the other late night shows are freezing him out when it comes to guests, but from seeing the way he treats people on his show, I suspect that's not the real problem. —Retta |

Friday, September 12, 2003 at 1:48 PM You are all correct, however, the concern is that the presentation did not benefit virgin viewers of which few will be motivated to pick up the book just having watched that appearance. As for Drew, the vast majority of celebrities share a common feature -large heads. Drew has a relatively long, thin neck and small head for his broad shoulders and height. His small facial features and head curve to form an egg shape. This could be balanced out by combing his hair differently -more like a "bed-head" and natural spike instead of the short cropped shape-conforming style he dons. A lot of people, especially men, have squared curves. This is pronounced in athletes as a side-effect from the high testosterone levels produced after taking muscle-mass enhancers. Just look at the roster during the intro of a football game. Everyone resembles Rockem-Sockem Robots and Dolph Lungren. Based on calls and feedback from various encounters with fans over the years, Drew is admired as a handsome man by Adam and the ladies as the majority of comments mentioned on Loveline will attest. —God |

Saturday, September 13, 2003 at 5:14 PM Maybe Jimmy should think about how he treats his guests and then ask himself why he has so much trouble getting A-list talent. But I guess it's just Jay Leno's fault. I like Jimmy and all, but his bitching and moaning about crappy guests without much self awareness is pretty sad. —Joe |
