Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 10:36 PM I am constantly shocked and appalled by how many smoke detector calls there are. How is this possible? Even the dead air that occurs when Adam is listening for the next beep is radio gold. PPM —Pasionate, passionate man |

Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 11:44 PM What are the chances that they would actually catch an everlasting smoke detector die within a 5 minute period? Adam's attention for anything but the person he is speaking to is great. —Mahalo |

Friday, September 5, 2003 at 1:16 AM The first couple times was marginally interesting but it is now a bore and waste of time. When they stop the show for this crap it is like their looking for anything to get out of doing work. Adam doesn't even say anything funny -how many times can you time a beep you already know will be no more than 40 and no less than 30 seconds? Hey, let's watch a bug crawl across the table! Friday, September 5, 2003 at 5:16 AM It's no worse a waste of time than when Drew attempts to speak in that nauseating drivel of ebonics from some garbage contemporary music. THAT got old after the first 8 seconds. At least with the smoke detectors going off, it reflects and reinforces the caliber of the average Loveline caller. It's a reality check for the hopeful. —Coprophiliac |

Friday, September 5, 2003 at 11:02 AM There isn't another radioshow around that knows how to make 7-10 solid seconds of deadair the highlight of the show. —Chris Jagger Sucks |

Friday, September 5, 2003 at 3:45 PM You know what was funny? Sunday's show (which I heard on Monday) has to take top billing. I never laughed so hard in all my life when the girl had no earthly clue what Adam was asking when he so clearly wanted her to estimate the doors height. It was totally hilarious when she asked if her boyfriend could get on the line to figure out what Adam was asking. Adam was speaking in English......the entire show, in fact. Did I miss something? Was the caller reading more into Adam's request than met the eye or was she just spaced out? I would love it if someone could post that call on the forum. Oh and if anyone has any Jimmy Kimmel Loveline segments, I'd love if you could post them. I hope they include that segment when they do their next "BEST OF" show. Maybe they will include a Jimmy Kimmel segment. (I thought the past weeks "Best Of" was going to include Jimmy Kimmel. If it did, it was brief and at a time that I was not listening...which is only about 10 minutes per the entire show per day it airs.) —Angel |
