Adam's crappy radio songs/playlists rant

I have to agree with Adam. While I like some of the artists, a lot of those particular songs are played out to death. Not that the "oldies" stations are the only perpetrators, all stations do it. However, why doesn't Adam do something about it on his show? He loves John Hiatt, so do I (met him once, nice guy), so why not get him on the show? Why not try to get Elvis Costello on? The seemingly endless parade of sound alike pop punk/alternative bands on the show gets boring (there a few that are okay). I understand that certain acts might not be in the perceived wheelhouse of the listeners, in all the "right" demographics, but being eclectic is never a bad thing.

Money where your mouth is Adam!!!

I think the music backdrops probably are commercialized and the show probably makes a lot of money doing that.

I agree. The best musician guests are the older ones who have been around a while. They don't have that snotty, entitled attitude that much of the younger bands and artists seem to have.

I'd like to see Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, and/or Don Henley. They probably have some great "road stories".

Miriam, I'm sure they do make money like that, that's why I say "put your money where your mouth is." Have the balls to lose a few bucks here and there to get some more interesting guests. I don't care so much about the into music etc, as the guesst as they take up more show time.

I just hope Adam doesn;t play anymore Beach Boys... god the Beach Boys suck...

I like all the songs Adam disliked o_0. The Atari's "The Boys of Summer" cover is awesome. It's classic as is the original. XD

I work college radio and Elvis Costello will occasionally make his way in to the lineup of songs...

I like most of the intro music...but myabe it's just cuz it gets into my head after loveline's played it for a while. I know there's a few intros where I hear the actual song, and I'll hate the rest of the song. But I wish they'd play the Chop Suey intro every now and then. It's such a great intro.

I hated him banging on American Woman. Hell, he even banged on BOTH versions! The hell is wrong with Lenny Kravitz? :(

The Beach Boys carry some of the best harmonies in the past 50 years, American Woman sucks, Lenny Kravitz sucks, Don Henley is a bad ass on his own label and with the Eagles, and Elvis Costello is genuis.

Adam is right all except for John Hiatt.

"In My Room" gets a slight pass, but the Beach Boys suck now and forever. Brian Wilson's crazy ass is soooo over-rated, just like Pet Sounds. Don Henley is a hack, not to mention an asshole, the Eagles are lame. American Woman, either version, but in particular Lenny's, sucks. Elvis Costello and John Hiatt are BOTH geniuses.

My vote for worst band ever people deluded themselves into thinking was good?: The Doors.
