Monday, August 4, 2003 at 8:51 PM Dr. Drew is bad ass and I think everyone who can afford it should pre-order his book on amazon.com. For those of you that can't afford it, you can still contribute to making his book a NYT best seller. Simply place a couple calls to different bookstores in your area and tell them to make sure to carry it. I have been calling every other day in my area at different times requesting the book's release date. If listeners in say 9 big cities each call 10 bookstores a couple times, it could make a decent bump in sales for the good doctor, even if you decide to read it at the library instead. Who knows, they may decide to green item it because of the demand and end up selling way more because of the extra exposure.

Monday, August 4, 2003 at 8:57 PM Yeah, it's a cool idea -- I think I'll do it, seeing as how there are a ton of bookstores here in Atlanta. And I will be getting it the day it comes out, so....yea. Wait are your initials MF? Just an afterthought... —Frope |

Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 2:18 AM The book might suck. (And Drew certainly doesn't need the money.) Why not just let it sink or swim on its own merits, instead of trying to artificially pump up the sales? —Tom |

Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 6:24 AM Hey right now it is ranked 9,329 on Amazon.com I know I am going to buy the book but I doubt it will be a huuuuuuge seller. Let it sell what it does. Drew can promote the book on all tv and radio programs like Loveline guests themselves. I agree with Tom, Dr. Drew --he's a big boy--he can handle himself. Not trying to be a dick, just pragmatic. —John |

Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 6:28 AM By the way, just a weird note, I used to hit up the site by typing in "loveline companion" on google. the first result would be the main site and the second would be the forum, now it is the main site first and the books section second--I guess people are hitting up the books section more onw. —John |

Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 9:17 AM Do you think they have never heard of Loveline? It is a concious decision not to syndicate lovline. I love loveline, but still feel that calling station managers across the county is a major misallocation of your time. Good times though and it takes all kinds! —John |

Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 1:19 PM John, I worked at a radio station and yes, when people call in and request certain formats or complain about existing ones, it does have an effect on the programming. —Mr. Mason Jar |
