Sunday, August 3, 2003 at 5:22 PM That's why he goes by "Dr. Drew" instead of "Dr. Drew Pinsky" on the show. That's not the question. The question is his full name is David Drew Pinsky. Why does he go by Drew and not David? It has nothing to do with the show, he's goes by Dr. Drew Pinsky in his medical practice, not Dr. David Pinsky. So why Drew and not David? —db |

Sunday, August 3, 2003 at 5:35 PM I haven't ever heard Drew explain this to anyone, but I can make a common sense guess... He has probably been called Drew since he was a kid (maybe his dad's name was David also, and they called him that to avoid confusion?) or... some people just like their middle name better than their first, for example, someone I know has the first name of Rudy but he goes by his middle name Michael; its probably nothing really significant. —Kevin U. |
