I mean nobody thought they could replace Bo and Luke on Dukes of Hazzard but then Coy and Vance came along and were HUGELY successful and loved by millions. And who else could play a bumbling inspector in the Pink Panther movies but the genius Peter Sellers? Why Ted Wass of course! Why people barely remember Seller's in the part because Ted shone so brightly! And what about the great Paul Provenza who took over from Rob Morrow on Northern Exposure, replacing Rob's fish out of water nebbishy, jewish doctor with his own take on the character: that of a fish out of water nebbishy, jewish doctor.
