The one that started with adam's phrase "Not too many blacks in.." (whatever county, CA). That was basically the beginning of the show. Does anyone have this in either transcript or MP3?
If it's already here somewhere (i promise i looked), sorry, maybe tell me where it is. In penance I'll offer an MP3 of the crank yankers bit (ripped from last night's show) if anyone needs it.

That show was run on 1-21-02...kind of an obscure reference. You can probably find it on one of the ftp sites hosted by people on this message board. I have the show in MP3, but the file is 60 megs and I don't have any way to get it to you.

Alright, thanx for the date anyway, that'll be a help in trying to find it. I might be willing to hook you up with a powerful sound editor (like soundforge) that can open and re-save MP3's.. or I might save you the trouble and simply do it myself after getting it from someone else. we'll see. Thanx tho.

Hrmmm.. NJ's server doesnt seem to have it.. Anyone else out there happen to have this episode? I tried Trig's server, but it appears to be down/off at the moment. Not sure what others there might be, since i'm a n00b here. Thanx for any help though..

Okay.... first I have a couple questions: Falco98, if you don't mind me asking, why do you want this particular show?
and... One Nut, how did you know which one it was (seems kind of obscure)? also, how far back do your recordings go? - I would really be interested in getting some stuff from you to expand whats on my FTP - if you are willing - please e-mail me if you are at all interested in a contributing/trading.

Okay... now onto the actual show; I have a low quality (16 kb/s 11 khz) recording of 01-21-02 that I didn't record myself, but I edited out the commercials for you, and I am uploading it to my FTP as I type this (The server is at a friend's house, and I am on slow dialup, so it may take a while). Also, the recording is missing the very beggining of the show, but I think it has all the dialog between Drew and Adam. Enjoy.

Kevin: I don't really want the show so much as I want Adam's rant / story from the beginning, about the black dirt biker. IIRC, the FIRST WORDS of the show were "not too many blacks...", and if not the first, then it was right at the beginning. Thus, if your recording is missing the beginning of the show, it might be a problem. Though I guess you could just listen.

One Nut: If you have the whole one, you could simply post it to alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.radio (or whatever it is, i can tell you later when i get back to my proper computer). If you don't know how, i can give you a step through.. if you already do, that's cool. If you are willing to do this on my behalf though, I'd request you wait about a week, as i'm JUST about to leave on a vacation. But whatever suits you.

If I do manage to get this show (a recording with the story in tact at least), I'll make a rip of the story and seed it for people here to download.
Thanks
~Mike

Here is how the recording I have starts;

Drew: ...interrupting our conversation yet again!

Adam: (laugh) ...we were having a very spirited conversation about shaving cream before the mic's heated up. And uhh, we aren't going to dedicate the night to Martin Luther King because we rarely dedicate the night to anything; But, I did have an experience this weekend that I wanted to relate to the listeners, as a good sign of uhh what I would call race relations in this fair city, state, country of ours. I told you I was at the super cross race this weekend…

Drew: Right.

Adam: The super cross race, you aren't going to find anymore white people than out at Anaheim in southern California at a super cross race...

I believe the only part it is missing is the intro bit, and Adam saying, "Hey everybody, it's Loveline! I'm Adam Carolla, that’s Dr. Drew; phone number 1-800-LOVE-191, Drew is a board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist..." Just like he does every night, other than that, it should all be there.

Hmm.. That sounds fairly complete. Just out of curiosity, does it have Adam saying the quote "Not too many blacks ..." (then something like "in ___ county" or "out there at.." or something). I'm not COMPLETELY sure that's what i remember, i suppose, but it kinda struck me. I guess it could have come slightly later in the conversation if at all, though...
Anyway, thanx.. If you do up this show somewhere lemme know where you've sent it..
