Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 5:08 AM I'm only allowing 3 connections at once right now because I have other, marginally more important uses for my shitty (768/256) broadband connection that I pay $80/mo for. I do however have servers at other locations, one of which is really-super-fast, but it's there as a favor to me so I can't have too much traffic to it. It IS being watched, and it's already where I record the shows from (most reliable). OK here's the deal, let's take a little survey.
Most people who are or would be downloading episodes; Would you mostly want the recent ones or do you want the older ones just as much if not more than the recent ones? Here's why I ask. I have 6+GB of Loveline stuff and it's all in one location. I could mirror the recent ones to a few different places each day, and it would allow for more people to access it. If I get enough positive responses, I will do that, and post the other addresses.
Also, please use an FTP client (like cuteftp,ws_ftp,etc) and not IE. IE will work, but it doesn't always tell you why it fails.

Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 7:27 AM Yea I know that would be cool, but I have this whole system setup to work by itself-autoname. If you guys want to email me with the filename (that you got from me, make sure cuz my dates may be diff) and the guest or even a summary, I can either: a) rename them
b) put a episode_list.txt in there I'm leaning toward option b. **Brain Storm** If I can trust you guys, I'll make up something where you can edit that file from a webpage, then it will get done a lot faster. So long as no one ruins it (I'll back it up periodically just in case). Until then, you can email them to me. NJC —NJC |

Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 7:37 AM Another Update: I have set up a mirror server. sgs.njctech.com will now contain the last 1-2 weeks of episodes, updated daily about an hour after the show airs. Use the same login:pass (loveline:ace). It will allow 5 users at a time...for now.
Please try to use this server if you want something recent. It will help the bandwidth situation at njctech.com. Directory structure of sgs.njctech.com: Loveline

Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 9:03 AM Cool, another hard working FTP person for loveline, I think new and old shows would be great. I would love to look through and see what you might have. I got some from Trig FTP sight that you may or may not have yet and I think he would be prefer if others shared in his hard work too and take some load off him. I also have some that I got off file sharing sites like WinMx. One more thing do you have any other radio shows like Howard Stern that had Adam and Jimmy on his show just wondering. Thanks and I look forward in getting a chance to visit your FTP site sometime. —joemama |
