Monday, July 14, 2003 at 4:28 PM I have a question and I think posters here could shed some light on this situation. Here's what I'm wondering about: As far as "safe sex" goes, oral sex w/o a condom is NOT safe. herpes, hiv, and other viruses and bacterial infections can be spread via oral sex, either man on woman or vice versa. Dr. Drew doesn't preach about this, because he doesn't preach. But if a caller asks "can I get such and such for going down on my boyfriend/girlfriend, the answer is usually yes. I'm wondering if anyone out there actually practices "safe sex" when it comes to oral. I don't know of any guys who ask to wear a condom before a girl goes down on them, and I don't know of a woman asking a guying to wear one. I don't know of women wearing dental dams before a guy goes down on them. But maybe this happens out there. So the question here is, does anyone out there practice safe sex when it comes to oral? —Jaime |

I live in a house with 30 or so guys and have never heard of anyone using a comdom before a chick goes down on them. Besides, if a chick is dirty enough that you think you should wear a condom for a bj, she's no prize. (either that or he's chasing after nickel's ;)) he talked about this once and mentioned that teenage girls were at high risk for ghonorea of the throat as a result of swallowing *insert vommit drop* he also read something on the air that listed sexual activities in order of highest risk to lowest risk of contracting std's (ie - intercourse #1, male receiving oral #2) I wonder where that list is? somebody call and ask him to read it again ;) waiting to hear adam kvetch about the airlines tonight... hehe
