Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 4:04 PM The funniest episode I ever heard was either the night of june 15,16, or 17 (Don't remember which day it was)...it was the one where Anderson kept playing all the old cheesy songs, and Adam would sing along loudly. I particularly remember him playing the Beach Boys "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and Adam saying "All they wanted was to get laid, wouldn't that be nice, they just want sex from their girlfriends. That's all anybody wants!"
Anyways, I jumped out of bed to record this only to listen to it later and realize my tape recorder hadn't actually been recording. Does anybody know where I could find this episode at all? It was hilarious! —Cassandra |

Friday, July 4, 2003 at 12:29 AM Just like you said, FTP = file transfer protocol; or in other words, a way of easily transfering files on the internet. When there is an FTP server set up the host designates files on their harddrive that they want others to be able to download... People connecting to the FTP must supply the correct login and password (or login anonymously if it is allowed) and they are then allowed to download the designated shared files. Basic internet browsers (Internet Explorer, etc) have the ability to login to an ftp; the link to mine is ftp://broadband@12.252.12.152:9500 or ftp://dialup@12.252.12.152:9500 (if you use dialup). If you put one of those into the address bar of your browser and hit enter, you should soon see a list of loveline episodes that are on my FTP... In order to download them you right click on the file and choose "save target as", then select the location on your harddrive that you want to save it to, and you should be downloading. The browser is a basic way of retrieving files, but it works well enough. There are also FTP client programs (cuteFTP, LeechFTP, etc) which are specifically designed for logging in and downloading from FTP servers; if you think you can handle it then I highly recommend using one of these. Hopefully that is enough information for you to get the show, if you need any more help don't be hesitant to ask!
Right now (2:30 am friday morning) I am uploading the June 19th show onto the FTP, but it won't be fully uploaded for about 5 hours since I am on a very slow dialup connection right now... should be about 42 megabytes when it is finally uploaded. —Kevin U. |
