Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 10:41 AM I know this happens every night, and I don't really care, but last night adam was just saying how he does his 2 hours and leaves, which is cool, but i think it might have hit a cord with us listeners who care bout the show so much, and adam just doesent care at all. but i think he does. ironically, they were talkin bout miriam when this was stated. —Tony |

Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 11:54 AM You're all over the place. "I dont really care" then "us listeners who care bout the show". Just say what you mean instead of trying to play it off. I believe Adam cares about the fact that people care about the show, but not so much about the show itself. Or I'm just pulling this out of my ass, who knows. —Jake |

Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 12:11 PM Yeah, Adam cares. Probably too much for his own comfort. But when the fact that bogus calls are so fresh in his mind, it's sort of like "what's the use?". Bunch of jackhole kids, he thinks, and can safely detach and just consider it's 2 hours a night and $300K a year. —Electric Koolaid |

Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 12:40 PM Adam cares, yes. The show and the traveling he does as ambassador for loveline make up his life. Sure, he has downtime on weekends and afternoons around the house and to spend with Jimmy + his wife and friends, but most everything connects to the show. He also talks about his mom + dad really negatively, constantly criticizing, but when Drew or someone made a bad comment about his parents, he was like "HOW DARE YOU?!!!" that they'd make a disparaging remark. So, what he says as an entertainer/comedian might be a little different than how he feels. I think he likes his job, he likes "making fun of callers," and he doesn't take it too seriously - which is why it hurt him to have Miriam be so deceptive. He has a way of shrugging it off, like a good boxer, and getting back in the rink. ONE THING that I noticed is that while Miriam is more than a little fascinated with herself and the world she "created" - she said she taped all of her calls - Adam said a short while ago that he has no tapes or recordings of any kind of the show...which shows a cool approach. He likes what he does, but he's not self-absorbed in it. He takes it for what it is, a good time with his buddy Drew and DAG and his other guests, a chance to save the babies, and to help out the babydolls...but he's not going home and writing about what happened on the show in his diary. Which is probably a good thing. SLC —Satan's Little Cupcake |

Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 2:07 PM I think you're confusing the way you care about the show w/ the way adam or drew care about the show. those two are very dedicated to loveline. (hello! drew did the show for free for 10 years as a public service!!) loveline is just one of their jobs and when it's over they get on w/ their life 'till the next night ;) it's very doubtful that they would ever get tied up in message board "meshugas" (as my ppl would say, hehe -nonsense I guess in english)or collecting shows... anyway, you think drew needs to hear adam complain when he's not there or that adam needs to sit around listening to his own nasally drone! hehe, good times! —Shelley |

Friday, June 27, 2003 at 12:49 AM Taping shows is a geeky thing to do. And for Adam to admit he actually cares about the show, would be "uncool." But I think he's all talk. ;) —:Þ |
