Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at 7:08 PM Does anyone trade recordings of loveline shows, or know of anyone who does? I've traded bootleg recordings of rock concerts before, and I know that there are quite a few people who do that, but I was wondering if you all knew anyone who traded loveline boots. One other thing: please note that I said "trade"-- I'm not interested in buying anything. Thanks! —David |

Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at 10:04 PM This is definately something that I am interested in doing, but it is often hard to coordinate, and there is not a launching point like there (kind of) is for concert trading... I know that quite a few people on this board record the show, and I have sent shows to some people and recieved shows from some people, but nothing major, and I have never done an official 'trade'. The most desirable way of trading would be through the internet with mp3's, but I am on dialup, and that makes this unrealistic (atleast for me). For those with broadband access, there may be people out there that do ftp or peer to peer trading, but it might take some searching. —Kevin U. |

Friday, March 14, 2003 at 9:19 AM I like the DMB, but I haven't gotten into trading them yet-- so far I've really only traded Smashing Pumpkins boots. I'm gonna keep searching around for some people who wanna trade loveline recordings-- if I get anything together or discover anything then I'll post again on this forum... two side-notes: 1.) alot of loveline shows that people have recorded are available on the Kazaa file-sharing network, although these tend to mostly be shows with guests, which I don't like as much as the Drew & Adam shows 2.) an inexpensive way to record loveline, if you're software-savvy and can find a radio station that streams the show online, is to use url snooper and a cracked streambox program (available at http://www.geocities.com/streamgen/streamboxvcr.htm) to download and save the show from the station's internet broadcast. —David |
